Unfortunately I didn’t see this in time but Nicole Richie recently donated her shoes to the Small Steps Charity to be auctioned off to help children living on landfill sites! The shoes were Christian Louboutin (Size 36.5) which were also signed by Nicole. The winning bid was £310.

Nicole Richie is currently at the Footwear News Achievement Awards and has won the first prize of the night. Congratulations Nicole! She stated her mum and Sarah Jessica Parker influenced her own style.

“I don’t like watching myself on TV,” Nicole Richie admits. It’s a strange sentiment to come from a woman who has spent over a decade gracing television screens on shows like The Simple Life and reality competition Fashion Star. Richie, who unequivocally identifies herself as a fashion designer rather than a TV star, currently appears on Candidly Nicole, a notably hilarious VH1 series where she’s done everything from get drunk while chaperoning her teenage sister’s pool party to invite an Uber driver to dinner. “Listening to your voice back is like ‘No, no, no,’” Richie says. “Doing it is so fun. But watching myself is something I don’t do.”

She may be the busiest woman in showbiz. Richie founded her jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, in 2008, which she expanded into apparel in 2010, the same year she bowed her Winter Kate brand of women’s fashions and published her second novel, “Priceless.” In 2012 she launched her perfume, Nicole. She also curates the Nicole Richie Collection for QVC and Impulse Collection for Macy’s. The celeb appeared on NBC’s “Fashion Star” and last year partnered with Telepictures Prods. on her AOL web series “#Candidly Nicole,” based on her Twitter feed. VH1 turned it into a weekly TV series.
InStyle asked various celebrities including Nicole Richie what their best shopping strategies are. Here is what Nicole had to say:
Black Friday marks the beginning of holiday shopping, but it’s the one event Nicole Richie won’t take part in. “I want to, but my husband won’t let me,” the pint-size star tells InStyle. “He says it’s too dangerous—I’m 5’1″.”
Even though Richie will have to sit this one out, she’s determined to hit the bustlin’ shops for a taste of that frenetic mob-like energy. Some might find it stressful, but for Richie, it’s more fun than anything else (she calls it her “own little tradition”).
“I don’t really shop during the year, so I like shopping during the holidays,” she explains. “I like going to Barneys, listening to the music, and being in the energy. It’s kind of cool to be all around the chaos.”
So it comes as no surprise that the Candidly Nicole star’s holiday shopping game plan is much like herself—candid. “I’m not somebody who starts in August,” she reveals. “I haven’t even started now.” If only we could all share that mindset!
