Her children.

Richie, 32, a producer on the show, has drawn a line around her two young children, Harlow, 6, and Sparrow, 4, who you won’t see — not even on Instagram. “They don’t even like me sending pictures of them to their grandparents. They definitely wouldn’t be happy with me sending it out to millions of people,” she says. (Grandpa Lionel Richie, though, does make an appearance on the show.) Will she have more kids? “I didn’t plan the first two, so I guess it’s not really up to me, right?” she says. “Who knows?”

How Richie copes without husband Joel Madden when he’s on the road.

“I’m really lucky. Joel has a twin brother (Benji), which is basically an extension of Joel,” she says. Helping with the kids, “he’s like Joel’s arm.”

How she’s really a homebody.

“I’m home a lot,” Richie says. “We started an edible garden last year, and we’re growing all of our own fruits and vegetables at the house. That keeps me home a lot. We just got five chickens.” So we quizzed her — what’s in her garden? “I have apples, blueberries, kumquats, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, kale, strawberries, rosemary, three lemon trees, two kinds of green beans, blood oranges, sage, oregano, basil, thyme, mint …” she ticks off. OK, we’re convinced.

How she’s not always so fashionable.

While gardening, “I wear a fanny pack. Yes, I do! I wear a fanny pack — it’s great. I can put my iPhone in there, and I keep my headphones on. I don’t have any good sun hats, so I’m wearing Joel’s crazy trucker hats.”

How she’s entering Gwyneth Paltrow/GOOP-like territory. Kind of.

“Ultimately, this will be a lifestyle brand,” she says of her fashion company, House of Harlow 1960. “I pace myself, and I am very serious about anything that I do. We’re about to launch (into home décor). We’re launching candles this holiday (season) …This chapter is just about growing and raising my kids and being with my family. And working.”
