The Met Costume Institute Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, let’s it’s guests get away with looks that would never fly during Oscar season as designers make their most daring ideas come to life for the very exclusive celebrity guest list.

As it turns out, Nicole Richie is set to design a Winter Kate gown for model, Britt Maren, for her première moment at the Met Ball on May 2nd.

“We are hoping to grow the membership and throw bigger events,” said Nicole, who is preparing to go to New York next week for fittings of the gown she is designing for model Britt Maren for the Met Gala. “It’s pretty major,” she said.

This is great news as I’m sure Nicole is very excited for this wonderful challenge! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!
