Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for visiting IHeartNicole.us for the past almost 6 years – that’s right, IHN will turn 6 on January 16th! Nicole Richie has had a crazy year and has achieved and done so much!

Here are some of the highlights:
In January 2015, she flew all the way to Dubai to launch a HOH 1960 pop-up shop at the Dubai Shopping Festival. March brought us new episodes of Candidly Nicole on AOL Originals as well as Nicole being announced as racing carnival ambassador for Sydney’s Golden Slipper Day! In July, Nicole launched a HOH 1960 pop-up shop closer to home in Los Angeles at The Grove. July also came with the second season of VH1’s Candidly Nicole. The launch of another HOH 1960 pop-up happened with Nathan Turner at Westfield Topanga in October. In November, Nicole Richie hosted the Pearl xChange, a conference day for women which she is super proud of! Throughout the year, Nicole has been working hard on her line House of Harlow 1960, which has allowed her to expand to home and stationary!

I can’t wait to see what happens in 2016!

Gaby Hoffmann recalls trip to Neverland Ranch with Nicole Richie and Kim Kardashian West

During an appearance on HuffPost Live on December 8th, actress Gaby Hoffmann recalled a trip to Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch with Kim Kardashian West and Nicole Richie after she was shown a throwback photo from the early 90s of them all (below). People magazine wrote up what she said regarding the situation:

Kim Kardashian West and Nicole Richie have been longtime family friends, but who knew Gaby Hoffmann ran in the same circle way back when?

During an appearance on HuffPost Live on Tuesday, the Transparent star recalled a trip to Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch with Kardashian West and Richie after being shown a throwback photo from the early ’90s. A memory that perplexes her to this day.

“We weren’t friends,” the actress told host Alex Miranda. “This is a totally strange, bizarre, anomalous moment.”

Hoffmann, 33, was classmates with with Kardashian West, 35, and Richie, 34, at Buckley School, a private school near Los Angeles where many famous celebrity children like Paris and Nicky Hilton also attended. The New York native moved to Los Angeles where she lived “an alternate reality life” and “lived in the suburbs” for two years during which she met the two future reality stars.

“In those two years, I happened to be in school with these girls – at least Nicole. I don’t remember that Kim Kardashian actually went to our school,” the former Girls star explained. “But Nicole Richie invited me to her birthday party, and it was at Michael Jackson’s Neverland! That’s where this picture was taken.”

Richie, whose godfather is the late King of Pop, celebrated her 12th birthday at the sprawling estate. Kardashian West was age 13 at the time and Hoffman age 11.

“I did get to meet A.J. and Bubbles, the chimps. I actually didn’t care that much that Michael wasn’t there because I got to meet the chimps,” she continued.

Hoffman is no longer friends with neither Kardashian West nor Richie, and admitted: “I wasn’t even really friends with Nicole. I don’t know why she invited me to this party, and I don’t really even remember ever talking to Kim Kardashian.”

Nicole Richie talks to Cosmo about women’s empowerment

Nicole Richie was recently interviewed by Darla Murray from Cosmopolitan on her Pearl xChange event which took place on November 8th.

What I like about this seminar is that it supports the idea that you should collaborate with other people — and that it’s in your own benefit to surround yourself with even smarter people than yourself if you want to get things done.
Right. It’s not about being the same, it’s about understanding your own power and your own strength and not only have your feet planted in the ground with your strength but to have your feet planted firmly in the ground with your weaknesses and be just as confident in your weaknesses as your strength. It’s in those moments where we can think, “Okay I want to learn more and develop another layer into my life” — which we’re all capable of — “so let me go partner with this person because I have something that I can give her and something that I can learn from her.”

It’s so inspiring.
Thank you. I go to a lot of these [seminars]. Marian Williamson, she is someone who has been in angel in my life. She came into my life about two years ago and I go to her lectures whenever I can and oftentimes I walk away and there have been moments where I think to myself, I wonder if I would have been able to take in this information when I was 25. I don’t know the answer to that, but I do know there have been moments in the past ten years where I’ve said to myself, “I put myself around this successful person and something great came of it.” So I wanted to create this conference for women who are my age who are just starting to get serious about building their lives. Now I’m thirty four, I have a husband, I have kids, and I’m running a few businesses too — that’s not something I [did] alone.

You keep your kids out of the spotlight — is that deliberate? And why is that?
They haven’t asked to be. They are humans, they’re individuals, and it’s their choice. This is what I do for a living but it’s not what they do for a living. It’s very important for me that they get to live their childhood in the fullest of way.
