Nicole has just finished her Reddit AMA. Here are all of the questions she answered in case you found it hard to follow. Click here to see all of the Q&As.
I_Lase_You: Hey Nicole! Here’s a Welcome to reddit lase I made for you: (Link). Now for the question: Do you still play the cello, violin, and piano?
RealNicoleRichie: First of all, thank you for this work of art, it’s awesome. And I do not currently play violin and cello, I do play piano, and I’m actually right now, I started taking lessons again because I don’t read music, my dad doesn’t read music and he’s the one who taught me, so I’ve been going by ear my whole life, and so I decided that I wanted to take the steps and learn how to read music and I’m not sure if I’m going to actually use it or not, but I never want to say no to learning more and I think when I was younger, I was probably afraid of it and didn’t necessarily need it, and I don’t know if I do, but I wanted to at least know how.
CBeeGeeBees: Nicole, I’m so happy you are doing an AMA!
How would you sum up Candidly Nicole in one sentence?
What is your favorite Britney song, and why?
Will you ever release an album? I still listen to Dandelion!
Thanks for taking the time to do this. I am a huge fan and I may cry if you answer any of my questions! I have already told everyone I know to watch the show every Thursday night.
RealNicoleRichie: 1) Well, it’s hard to sum it up in one sentence because it is so many different things. If i had to say in one sentence, I would cheat a bit and say “It is a fun peek into the modern challenges of life / a comedy / a show where we’re getting people’s different perspectives / a destination for people who just want to laugh.”
2) that’s a hard one. probably I’m A Slave 4 U, just because I was a little bit older at the time, I was probably 18 and I remember the video being so big, her MTV awards performance being so big, and I Just remember everything at that time just seeming to make a big impact on my life!
3) I would love to. I am doing everything I can to live a balanced life. I don’t ever take on anything unless i can put 100% into it. I love music, I love singing, I love playing piano, right now House of Harlow is where my heart is and where my focus is, and I owe it to my customer to give them my 100% attention.
jeffco555: These questions come from my wife.
Who are your fashion icons?
Where does your inspiration come from?
Are you having more children?
RealNicoleRichie: 1) Well, a fashion icon to me is somebody who has, the first person who struck you and introduced you to the world of fashion, and that person is my mom. She was, and is, very fabulous in the 80s, she had the contacts and the bangs and the vintage Chanel bags and tight dresses, and she was going to every event with my dad, all over the place with my dad, and i would sit in her bathroom and watch her get ready, her hair & makeup and fittings, and i used to think “she’s so beautiful, that’s who I want to look like.” And that was my first introduction to the fashion world.
2) I’m hugely inspired by music. I am a big listener of 60’s and 70’s classic rock. And i really just love the overall freedom of that time, of the late 60’s and 70’s. I love that you had so many different ways of expressing yourself, fashion was really one of them, the idea of clashing didn’t exist, and people were using clothes as an opportunity to express who they were. That is inspiring to me – you could mix textiles, fabrics, you were 100% who you were, and that’s where my main inspiration comes from.
3) Well, I guess I wouldn’t be the full decider of that! But I didn’t necessarily my first 2, Joel and I are just very go with the flow, that’s how we have always been, so I guess we will just see.
zombitatertot: Nicole, what is the number one tip you would give to young people while growing up?
RealNicoleRichie: Don’t tweeze your eyebrows too soon.
Cater_the_turtle: Hi Nicole, thank you for this AMA! How did you and Joel first meet?
RealNicoleRichie: Joel and I met through a friend about 10 years ago. And that’s how we met!
reelmccoy1995: Hey Nicole! Loving Candidly Nicole. Just wondering, does Sparrow still hold Meet & Greets in the house with Joel as his security guard?
RealNicoleRichie: He hasn’t had any meet & greets lately, but you never know when he could bust one out.
scrumchumdidumdum: If you could have any animal as a butler what animal would it be? The chosen creature can also speak english and spanish. But not french. Unless it’s a french bulldog.
RealNicoleRichie: This is a lot of choices for me. But I would say an Octopus, because they can get more done.
Frajer: How do you feel about Joel’s song Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? What’s your favorite Lionel Ritchie song?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, I feel great about all Joel’s music, I absolutely love it, I’m a fan of his, that’s one of the coolest things about him is his songwriting and who he is as a musician. And my favorite L-train song is Ballerina Girl, because it was written for me.
iberocomeilvento: Hi Nicole! I’ve been a big fan since the Simple Life! What’s your all time favorite book and what book are you currently reading? Thanks!
RealNicoleRichie: One of my all-time favorite books is Tuesdays with Morrie, and I am currently not actually reading anything, and I am looking for a new book to start.
escherbach: Has your father given you any advice that you consider valuable?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, both my parents have given me great advice. They are from Alabama, they are not from LA, and they are both very hard workers, and they also have people around them who have been around them a very long time, and i think that’s a credit to how they treat people and how gracious & kind they are. They have really instilled in me to always, no matter what, to create around you an environment that is pleasant to be in and fun for everyone to be in, because at the end of the day, it’s what you create, and it’s important for you to create that space.
erickdewitt: Nicole! Love you, What has been the best part of the transition of this show going from Web series to TV show?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, the coolest part is that we actually get to go deeper into each thing that we are exploring, and I get to bring it not necessarily one person but multiple people in whatever subject i am talking about, and it’s just been such a fun experience and it’s cool because people already know what the show is. So with that, you’re able to really have fun with the show.
bluecrunchberry: hi! do you own a snuggie? p.s. sanasa sanasaaa!
RealNicoleRichie: I don’t own a snuggie.
nobodysdiary: Did you ever find your purse?
RealNicoleRichie: Nope! Never found it.
nobodysdiary Thank you for bringing closure to this chapter of my life.
RealNicoleRichie: You’re welcome.
mmawkish: Nicole! You’ve been my favorite celeb for a while!
Is there any song/music genre you absolutely CAN’T resist dancing to/?
OR: If you had to be a food for a day, what food would you be?
RealNicoleRichie: Really, anything that falls under 90’s hiphop I basically have no control over my body. I absolutely love it.
bendi36: omg I’ve never been this early to an ama. Umm what do you think of australia?
RealNicoleRichie: Australia is one of my favorite places in the world. I spend a lot of time there. And I find Sydney a lot like LA in some ways, and it’s beautiful, great for kids, and I absolutely love it over there.
jonemillard: Hey Nicole,
I really enjoyed watching you on The Simple Life. Did you have fun filming the show and what was the craziest thing you did?
Thanks for doing this!
RealNicoleRichie: Simple Life was so fun for me. I was 21, and you know, going through these different experiences and doing it with my best friend, and it was a really fun time in my life. One of the craziest things… I mean, sticking my hand up a cow is probably what stands out to me, and is a feeling I will never forget.
username147258369: Hey Nicole, first of all just wanted to say you’re awesome!
Do you get much time to spend to yourself and if so what do you like to do with your free time?
RealNicoleRichie: Spending time by myself is VERY important to me and I wake up pretty early, I wake up around 5 in the morning, and I get to have a couple hours to myself, and that is definitely I think really important to me and I think it’s important for moms to have that too. And I love to carve out time for myself and sometimes I’ll hang out with girlfriends, but i like to keep things pretty intimate.
jonemillard: What was it like working on Six Feet Under? It was such an incredible show.
RealNicoleRichie: It was so much fun, I was there for about 2 hours, but everybody on the set was really nice, and it was a pleasant experience.
reelmccoy1995: Do you listen to bands that Joel & Benji have toured with/are pals with? Like The Maine, Simple Plan, New Found Glory etc.?
RealNicoleRichie: Joel’s friends with a lot of those guys. I’m really bad with the band names, to say exactly who they are, but Joel is basically friends with pretty much all of them. And i do listen to their music.
KSR007: What is your favorite Britney Spears album?
RealNicoleRichie: I think her self-titled album was my favorite, as i recall it was blue, and she’s sitting down, whatever album that was.
lmi6: Hi, Nicole! What’s your favorite song?
RealNicoleRichie: It’s really hard to say that i have one favorite song, because I like so many different categories. I’m a big fan of the 60’s and 70’s, so I love Janis Joplin’s Summertime, it’s one of my favorite songs, but I also love Shoop by Salt n Pepa. So my music taste doesn’t fall into one category. I do love Hot Hot Hot, that spicy fun song.
spicegirl92: Hi, Nicole! First of all, I love you! You’re so hilarious, you’re my style icon, and the growth and change you’ve made in life is inspiring. My question is, do you identify as a black woman? I’ve always found it interesting that people, at least in the urban media and community, don’t typically view you as a black woman or woman of color. Also, would you ever wear your hair curly?! I bet it would look awesome based on your throwback thursday pics!
RealNicoleRichie: I guess that’s a two part question. I would say that my experience in this world, and this is one of my favorite things about growing up in LA, the way that i was raised, there was no talk about race or religion, everybody was the same, and my dad’s a musician, there were people of so many different religions, there were gay people, there were so many different kinds of people in my house, and I was adopted, and everybody was welcome and special in my house. So i have never been in the position where I Had to stand up for myself or defend myself. I look as that as a very positive thing, and it’s one of my favorite things about growing up in LA, because then my kids won’t have to think like that. I think that’s a good thing. As far as wearing my hair curly, I’ve been blow-drying my hair straight for so long that i don’t even know what i would do, so I like it straight.
Omfgitskris: What was your favorite moment seen on the simple life?
How long have you been doing the tracy Anderson method and which move is the hardest for you? I just started metamorphosis and the dance cardio is killer!!
RealNicoleRichie: Good question. My favorite moment – season 3 was fun, because we were kind of near New York, so every few days we were able to step out for a second and go and see our friends who lived in the city, so that was a fun part of my life because I felt like the Simple Life was starting to come into my actual reality, and that was something that was really exciting.
Well, I don’t know how to describe the moves, but Tracy always knows how to challenge you and your body, which is a great thing, and I’ve been doing Tracy for about 4 years.
Falcon_Cum: Hey Nicole, you’re famous, but who is the most famous person you have ever met?
RealNicoleRichie: I don’t know, because I don’t know how to rate people by fame! But I can tell you some of the nicest people that I have ever met, and I would say one of them is Lionel, he is very nice, he is somebody I respect as an entertainer who is a genuine nice person and my dad is definitely one of those people. And Cher is a nice person too.
Falcon_Cum: Thanks for the response. Went with your dad. I dig it. He seems like a good dude. I guess you sort of grew up around famous people, so you’re used to it, but was there anyone you’ve met where you were like, damn, I can’t believe I’m actually meeting this person?
RealNicoleRichie: Meeting Michelle Obama was very big for me, she’s a huge inspiration for me. I met her last year. And she was relatable, incredibly warm, very nice.
orangepurplesilver: What has been your most memorable moment while filming?
RealNicoleRichie: I probably had the most fun challenging myself physically, so I got to play a little bit of baseball which is not a sport that I am great at, and I got to play it with a bunch of little kids which was even cooler because they are just so honest, you never know what is going to come out of the kids’ mouths, so the combination of the two was definitely memorable and exciting.
erikjmac: Nicole! I love your hair. Who’s your favorite Spice Girl?
RealNicoleRichie: Ginger Spice.
MaskBearer: Nicole, are you planning on writing any more books? I read Priceless because it was recommended by a friend and I absolutely loved it.
RealNicoleRichie: I am going to get back into books. I have an announcement that i will be making very soon. But that is coming up very soon!
britneyxo: Are we going to see more of your sister this season?
RealNicoleRichie: My sister is in the show quite a bit, so you will see a lot of her on the show.
lilgayfag: Who is your favorite boy band and why is it *Nsync?
RealNicoleRichie: I will agree and go with *Nsync
Carpediemalways: Hi Nicole! I remember watching The Simple Life as a child. Now as a student, getting ready to go to college, I would like to ask if you have any advice for how to find out what I want to do with my life? I like photography, film, philosophy, psychology, and math. Love ya xoxo
RealNicoleRichie: Well, I think that you’re in a very lucky time in your life, and you do have time to decide, and you need to listen to your heart and figure out what you’re the most passionate about. That’s not going to come from anybody except you. It’s a very important time for you because it’s time for you to make an adult decision.
Balboa_Constrictor: How have you evolved as a person and changed (if at all) since the Simple Life first premiered?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, I can talk about my life, I can say that my life continues to evolve and change and that was before the Simple Life and then way way after, and I hope I continue to grow and evolve and change. And I stepped into The Simple Life in my 20s, and now I am 32, so I got to live all of my 20’s, I’m now stepping into my 30s in a completely different place in my life, and I will probably be in an even more different place 10 years from now.
ThisRiverisWild: When you were a kid, what did you want to be?
RealNicoleRichie: I wanted to be a dancer.
tayloryale: Hey Nicole! What do you think is a staple piece of clothing that I should have in my closet? Also, what is an outfit or article clothing that you simply cannot live without?
RealNicoleRichie: I think we always need to have a smart black blazer in our closets. It’s just a nice clean way to dress up even something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt. And something I always have in my closet, I always have a vintage headscarf with me, to tie around my bag or protect my hair from the sun, it depends but I always find a use for it.
TiffanyFlutterfly: What are your favorite pizza toppings?
RealNicoleRichie: I really keep it simple and stick with pepperoni, extra well done.
BransonKP: Hey buddy, how’s it going today?
RealNicoleRichie: I’m having a very mellow day. I’ve been relaxing, and spending time with my kids, and my chickens, and I’ve just been chilling all day, it’s been very nice.
hollywood22: Nicole, I am so happy you’re doing this! I’m kind of light headed and trying to thinking of good questions. The only thing I can think of right now is what do you look for in a best friend, and will you be my best friend?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, I just read a quote recently and it said “A good friend will help you move, and a best friend will help you move bodies.” And it’s so accurate – you want a friend whom you can call no matter what, who will have your back! I’m really lucky, I’ve had friends since I was 2 years old, they know me through and through, we support each other and don’t get jealous of each other, and if we want to talk shit, we talk shit in front of each other’s faces, because that is more fun.
And someone you don’t have to entertain, they can come over and you can just be a zombie together and they don’t require much.
NRRichesforless: Hi Nicole, I know your busy, but do you ever read or look at fan blogs about yourself?
RealNicoleRichie: I have seen fan blogs before, and I think they are so creative and thoughtful, and I’m just always very grateful.
bluecrunchberry: what’s your favorite thing about being a mom/wife?
RealNicoleRichie: Well my favorite thing about being a mom is getting to relive your childhood all over again, that’s one of my favorite things. And my favorite thing about being a wife? I have more freedom to just be crazy, because he’s already stuck with me.
warm-milk: Hi Nicole! As a member of the dry/crude/crass humor club, where do you get your inspiration for your jokes?
RealNicoleRichie: Also, thanks for stealing my pre-teen dream date, 12 year old me hates you. Bitch.
I don’t know where I get the inspiration from, but I do know that i share similar humor with my dad. And my son actually has, I can see already he’s starting to have the same sense of humor too. But I don’t know, it just sort of happens!
And you can have him for a weekend while I catch up on my Real Housewives…
operation_hennessey: What is the most memorable gift you have ever received?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, there’s a few. A gift from my mom, she gave me a piece of her jewelry, I was about 12 and I still have it, it’s a sapphire necklace. And my car was a big one. And lately I’ve been getting more thoughtful gifts from my family, any time my children draw or make me anything, my heart just melts completely, and I’m big on handwritten letters and I luckily get those a lot from my family.
reelmccoy1995: What’s your go-to karaoke song?
RealNicoleRichie: Eminem, Forgot about Dre.
granolabear: How has your relationship with Paris been since the end of the Simple Life?
RealNicoleRichie: It’s been great.
operation_hennessey: Tell us something about yourself that we may find surprising?
RealNicoleRichie: I was training to be a professional figure skater, and I had been skating since I was 8 years old, and spent most of my teenage years traveling and competing around the world.
Ron_Tam: Thanks for the AMA Nicole!
RealNicoleRichie: Important question. You have been sentenced to death for a crime you did not commit, what would you choose as your final meal?
Oooh, a mixture of Tony Roma’s, In n Out number 2, something fresh like a grilled vegetable salad, just something very fresh to keep everything moving, a little sushi, a shot of tequila. I think that’ll do.
StunningEggs: Hi. Out of every song your dad has ever recorded, which is your favorite and why?
RealNicoleRichie: Ballerina Girl!
Trixn: NICOLE FUCKING RICHIE! 1. Who is your tattoo artist 2. what is your opinion on tattoos on women making them less valued in the work business 3. How can I get into the jewelry business
RealNicoleRichie: 1) My tattoo artist’s name is Mark Mahoney.
2) I mean, it really depends on the job, it’s very easy for me to say that i think everybody should just be treated how they’re supposed to be treated and tattoos shouldn’t come into play. But what if someone has an offensive throat tattoo that might affect someone’s business? I am sure there are a lot of opportunities out there for everybody.
3) Just keep practicing your craft, and then you start learning the actual business of producing also, to raise enough money to make good quality samples, and to always keep your ear on the ground and be open to learning and growing.
reelmccoy1995: You’ve said you believe 90210 changed the world, who’s your favorite 90210 character?
RealNicoleRichie: Luke Perry, Dylan, was my favorite. He was my first crush. I also loved Emily Valentine, she was a big one for me.
Pulaski_at_Night: I loved your cameo on Six Feet Under. In real life who are your favorite artists?
RealNicoleRichie: My favorite artists are Damien Hirst, Retna, Mr. Brainwash, Wes Lang.
Motha_Effin_Kitty_Yo: What do you think of the situation in Ukraine?
RealNicoleRichie: I just heard the news. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.
reddit_mind: What’s VH1? Are you a 90’s kid?
RealNicoleRichie: It’s a network. Airing the best show.
winecountrygirl: Hi Nicole! What life advice would you give to a 21-year-old girl like me? Thanks! :)
RealNicoleRichie: Keep your integrity.
mimei609: Hi, Nicole I must say I love you… lol but most of all I do have questions. Was it hard being bi-racial and identifying your identity as a child? Was it hard growing up for you “being different” and adopted? I know many questions. I ask these question because I am bi-racial and adopted. My adopted parents are white and my mother GOD rest her sould loved your father and introduced me to him and you at a very young age. I would love a response and YES I follow you on Twitter as well :) God Bless!!!
RealNicoleRichie: Yes, I went into this a little earlier, but I think at the end of the day, you have to know that your parents love you and your parents chose you, and they chose you because you’re special.
texturecalls: So just what exactly does “sanasa” actually mean?
RealNicoleRichie: It doesn’t mean anything. It’s not even a word. And it’s funny that it keeps coming up, because it had zero significance whatsoever. I don’t know.
operation_hennessey: What is your favourite Good Charlotte song?
RealNicoleRichie: Harlow’s song.
zulyy: Hi Nicole I’m so excited for your show. My questions are how do you stay in shape, exercise and diet or just eating well? And what is going to be your next hair color?
RealNicoleRichie: Well, I do Tracy Andersen and I do eat well. I definitely take care of myself. That’s my fitness program. And I just changed my hair color, so right now i am just enjoying the blue.
willemnotdafoe: first of all sanasaaaAAAA!
Who in hollywood would you like to have appear on Candidly Nicole?
Kim Kardashian? Rob Ford? Lorde? (lol)
RealNicoleRichie: Well, the cool thing about Candidly Nicole is that i turn to people who work in other fields, so that’s part of the process of me growing and exploring in a real way. So it’s me stepping into fields that i am not as familiar with.
MrSwearword: Did you enjoy your tenure on Fashion Star?
RealNicoleRichie: Yes, I was a mentor and the process was amazing, I loved shooting Fashion Star.
EmmahleighLoo: Nicole! When did you feel the most confident – with long hair or short hair? (Sorry for the simple minded question but I recently cut off my mane and feel like a new women, I was wondering if you felt the same)
I like having both, and the good thing about hair is that it is hair, so if you want it short you can cut it, if you want it long you can get extensions or grow it out. I try to change up my hair a lot, it definitely feels fun and is always a way to make me feel fresh, is playing with my hair.
misstonix: (this is me) What pets do you currently have? I still remember Honey Child and Foxy Cleopatra.
RealNicoleRichie: Honey Child and Foxy are with my parents. At my house, I have a dog, two turtles, fish and five chickens.
Stands_on-21: Has a person ever been mean or rude to you, cause they didn’t recognize you, then tried totally kissing your ass when they realized who u were? If so, what happened.
RealNicoleRichie: I’m sure that it has happened at some point in my life. My parents taught me to be kind to people no matter what, and that’s definitely the best way to make people like that feel stupid. You just gotta keep your side of the street clean.
paws4evurr: Wuddup, Nicole! Two questions: 1. Do you have any new fashion lines, or anything in regards to clothing, etc in the works? 2. Can you please tell Joel that this 23 year old birthday girl thinks she finally understands the lyrics to The Anthem? You kick ass!
RealNicoleRichie: 1) Well I have House of Harlow, which is my clothing line, and House of Harlow is stepping into the home space, and I will be launching candles in the fall.
2) I’ll tell him. :)
JackassWhisperer: Who’s your least favorite person in Hollywood?
RealNicoleRichie: I don’t have a least favorite.
SeymourGlas: Thanks for doing this AMA!! :) 1. Since leaving the reality tv life behind, what are you doing now? 2. What’s your favorite food?
RealNicoleRichie: 1) I am a designer, and creative director of a brand called House of Harlow. And I have a new TV show, Candidly Nicole.
2) Pizza & sushi
loser0123: when are you gonna give your clothes away?
RealNicoleRichie: Can you clarify the question?
willemnotdafoe: Would you be interested in an OWN network docuseries like Lindsay?
RealNicoleRichie: I think my life is a little too boring to have a docuseries.
buzzlightbeer27: Nicole, you’re one of my favorite people to follow on twitter. Who is your favorite person to follow on there? Ps I can’t wait for your show tonight, you rock.
RealNicoleRichie: I love going on Twitter to laugh, so Kelly Oxford is somebody I love following on Twitter, there’s a woman called Jenny Johnson who’s really funny, Patton Oswalt, Sara Silverman, and Rivka Rossi @sofifii.
BlazedElvis: How often has someone tried picking you up by singing the song “Hello” to you?
RealNicoleRichie: Ooh that’s actually never happened, but I’d be open to it!
BlazedElvis: If that’s never happened then… Hello! Is it me you’re looking for? I can see it in your eyes, I can see it in your smile, you’re all I’ve ever wanted!
RealNicoleRichie: Call me.
Undunrhy: Hey Nicole ! Are you proud of the person you’ve become and how much you’ve achieved in these past years?
RealNicoleRichie: I am very proud. And there is nothing wrong with being proud of yourself, and you absolutely should be proud of yourself.
Candycoatedd: Hi Nicole, I love your style. What’s your favorite piece of clothing you’ve ever owned?
RealNicoleRichie: My husband bought me these dope white vintage Chanel round sunglasses. They have the Chanel logo in black on them. And I love them.
Mutt1223: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
RealNicoleRichie: Cookies & cream.
jetthead: Favorite bands at the moment?
RealNicoleRichie: I’m really bad with current music! The Madden Brothers.
travis13131: What is your new show about?
RealNicoleRichie: The new show is based off of my twitter feed, and it is me exploring different parts of life that I don’t really know much about, for example online dating. I cover different topics. You see my perspective and my experience, and at the end you get to hear other people’s experiences as well.
Melissaandrademakeup: Will HoH ever get a beauty/fragrance line? I sense a lot of patchouli/leather/tobacco mixtures in the future!
RealNicoleRichie: It is coming in the future.
PM_ME_GOALS: Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or one horse sized duck?
RealNicoleRichie: One big duck.
lukeyrads: Hey Nicole. If you could be a man and choose your own name what would it be? I’d be Maximillion Mauriceverdison.
RealNicoleRichie: Aleister. It’s a very sexual yet regal name.
dpbaker1991: So excited for your new show, you are HILARIOUS.
What characteristic in a person is most important and what characteristic in a person do you most despise?
Good luck with the show! ILY!
RealNicoleRichie: honesty about who they are. People who try to be something they are not, the most attractive thing to me are people who are 100% authentically them. And I appreciate and actually always look for people that are different than me in friendships, because that helps me grow.
lildansonman: Who’s your favorite character on Game of Thrones?
RealNicoleRichie: Better get on that seriously some of the best tv ever. It’s like lord of the rings but with 50x more violence and nudity.
meepk: I am petite and even though I am almost 30, I still sometimes get self-conscious about it (esp when it comes to styling – though people like you and the Olsens have been a fashion inspiration – fit is key!). When you were younger, were you self-conscious about your petite height? Are you still?
RealNicoleRichie: I feel like I was one of the tallest in my class until 5th grade, and then it all just came to a screeching halt. Your body is your body and you gotta be comfortable with it. The plus size is we can wear short shorts because no one takes it offensively when it comes from somebody who is small. You can weasel your way out of a party because nobody can see you. And if you focus on the positives like that, everything else just falls to the wayside.
lukeyrads: Have you ever seen your dad without facial hair? If so was it scary?
RealNicoleRichie: I’ve actually NEVER seen my dad without a mustache, for sure.
smariexo: whats your favorite lipstick color?!
RealNicoleRichie: I’m not good with makeup, but I do love Jungle Red by Nars and Heat wave by Nars, but i haven’t worn Heat Wave since i have blue hair lately. But it’s a nice fiery orange.
travis13131: Any advice for someone who is an aspiring piano musician?
RealNicoleRichie: Keep doing your thing!
MsMamaBer: Hello Nicole! I’m a big fan of yours! Just curious, what is your favorite moment/experience that you have had with your kids so far? Do you have one for each child or one together as a family?
RealNicoleRichie: It’s really hard, because you get new stories every day, but I would say the entire experience of being a mom is incredibly exciting and the most exciting thing about it is that you don’t know what is coming.
DeathChess: Hi, thanks for doing an AMA!
Who are you?
RealNicoleRichie: An orangutan.
Milf_: What is in your make up bag?
RealNicoleRichie: I don’t wear makeup unless I’m working, so I don’t have a makeup bag. I need my face to breath, I wear moisturizer on my face but otherwise I feel trapped with makeup on.
QualityUsername: Where do you expect to see yourself in 10 years?
RealNicoleRichie: In 10 years, I want to be happy, first and foremost, and I want to be surrounded with love and by my family, and after that, everything else is just – I’m wide open.
aq_mach1: Hey Nicole! Is it hard to balance life as as a celebrity and life as a mother? Do you feel you spend enough time with your children?
RealNicoleRichie: It’s hard, when I am talking to other moms, other working moms that aren’t necessarily in the entertainment industry, just other modern moms, and we are all trying to find the perfect balance, and I think that’s a very common struggle that mothers go through. When we’re at work, we want to be home, when we’re at home, we feel the need to be at work, and that’s just part of being a parent.
